A 79 floors Skyscraper, called "The Torch", caught fire early this morning in Dubai.
The fire, according to CNN report, started at 2am(5pm. ET Friday), when many people were out and enjoying the nightlife in unseasonably
warm temperatures.
The fire, according to CNN Witness, appeared to start around the 50th floor, but then strong winds blew the burning debris around to lower floors on other sides of the Torch.
The building is said to have been engulfed by the fire on at least three sides on several floors.
There were no deaths or injuries, and the fire was out three hours after it began, the Dubai Civil Defence said.
The cause was not known, he added.
The building which is designed like a torch has 79 floors of luxury apartments.
Moreso, the Torch was the world's tallest residential tower when it was completed in 2011, according to the building's developer, Select Group. It contains 676 residential units with 24-hour security and concierge, and six retail spaces.
