In continuation of President Goodluck Jonathan's efforts to
provide affordable housing for Nigerians nationwide, the
Federal Government has signed a Memorandum of
Understanding, MoU, with Signature Value Homes Ltd. to
develop 1,672 affordable housing units in the Federal Capital
Territory (FCT).
The Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Mrs.
Akon Eyakenyi, signed on behalf of the Federal Government,
while Mr. Anand Ramani, Managing Partner, signed for
Signature Value Homes Ltd.
According to the minister, the development of the houses
will be on 20 hectares of land situated at Gwagwalada and
will comprise of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments.
The first phase of 300 to 400 houses is scheduled to be
completed in the next 6 months.
President Jonathan's administration has invested enormous
resources in developing affordable housing units for
Nigerians across the country, as part of measures meant to
reduce the country's housing deficit.
