WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -A Purdue University student has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault at a fraternity.
The student has been summarily suspended from the university, and the university has issued a Persona non Grata prohibiting the individual from being on campus at any time or for any reason.
The fraternity where the alleged assault took place has been
notified by the Office of the Dean of Students that it is summarily suspended as a Recognized Student Organization.
Until the university completes its investigation to determine specific violations or sanctions, that means the fraternity may not participate in any university-sponsored events or functions, and may not receive any benefits or services that might be provided to a recognized organization.
Investigations have been launched and are concurrently being undertaken by the Purdue University Police and the University under its Anti-Harassment Policy and the Code of Student Conduct.
