Residents of Montreal suburb have been told to stay in their homes
after a chemical spill at an industrial factory.
The chemical spill which happened at about 10 a.m. at the Kronos pigment manufacturing plant in Varennes, Que., a suburb just across the St. Lawrence River from the island of Montreal,
The chemical, a titanium tetrachloride after spilling, produced a visible plume of white smoke in the area.
As a result, Varennes residents within one kilometer, have been told to stay in their homes.
